Winners

Losers

Harry Mitchell

The field of creditable primary opponents on the Republican side continues to grow. The more creditable candidates who vie for the seat, the more expensive the primary will be and the less money the eventual nominee will have for the general election.

House Democratic Caucus

The caucus lost a valued member in Lena Saradnik who had to resign for health reasons. She will be missed.

David Schwiekert

$500,000 with 500 donors is an impressive early number.

Gen. David Rataczak

The top commander of the Arizona National Guard will lose his post in a couple of months because Sen. Jack Harper (R-Surprise) has used his authority as committee chairman to not hold a confirmation hearing.

John McCain

Mac is back with a big win in NH and favorable polls in Michigan and South Carolina.

Sean Hannity

Ok, it’s not our policy to mention non-Arizonan personalities as a winner or loser, but Hannity gets the exception this week. Anyone who watched last night’s post-debate interviews on Fox News would have a hard time saying his questioning was “Fair and Balanced.”
