David SchweikertScweikert showed over $505k in the 4th quarter FEC report. The impressive part was in a crowded primary, against a popular incumbent, to have raised $250k. Goes to prove what we have heard is true, Schweikert is actually one of those sick individuals who likes to dial for dollars. Add another $250k loaned on top of that and Schweikert had a successful quarter. |
Charlene PesquieraThe State Senator from District 26 was fined for not filing a trigger report when she hit the threshold for matching funds. |
Gabby GiffordsThe freshman Congresswomen from CD8 had another successful quarter of fundraising as she took in another $272k. That leaves Giffords, who is facing a challenge from Senate President Tim Bee with over $1.3m in the bank. |
Senate LeadershipAs the Republican leadership is finding out, it’s tough to lead when you have only a 2 vote margin. One key piece of legislation the Republicans are looking at is the permanent repeal of the property tax. With two Republican Senators not agreeing to the bill (O’Halleran and Allen), the bill appears to be dead unless they can convince a Democrat member to split from their leadership. |
Ann KirkpatrickNot only is the DCCC trying to help clear the way for Kirkpatrick, but she is way ahead of her other Democratic opponents with cash on hand after another $150k+ fundraising quarter. |
Laura KnaperekKnaperek has put together a top notch team which includes Campaign Manager Lauren Barnett and consultant gurus Nathan Sproul and Gordon and Lisa James, but so far that team has not led to any fundraising success. |
