Through out yesterday we posted Congressional FEC numbers. Today we will take a look at them together by district.
CD1 which is an open seat being vacated by Rick Renzi.
Democrats
Ann Kirkpatrick $257, 400 raised with $465,464 cash on hand
Mary Kim Titla $39,114 raised with $48,321 on hand
Howard Shanker $33,688 raised with $31,345 on hand
Shanker and Titla have run spirited campaigns, but with the DCCC and a good portion of the establishment rallying behind Kirkpatrick she is threatening to run away with this one.
Republicans
Sydney Hay $98,618.19 with $222,334.01 cash on hand
Preston Korn $14,567 raised with $10,494 on hand
With Ken Bennett still yet to announce his intentions Hay is the front-runner and eventual nominee if that does not happen. Hay’s campaign told PoliticerAZ.com they raised 100k from a single event on April 2nd. Those numbers would not be included in these totals.
CD2 is held by current Republican Trent Franks
Trent Franks $88,386.00 raised with $129,774.83 cash on hand
Democrat
John Thrasher $3,023.50 raised with $12,512.49 cash on hand
CD3 currently held by Republican John Shadegg
John Shadegg $150,716 raised with $937,672 cash on hand
Democrat
Bob Lord $220,166 raised $632,485.41 cash on hand
John Shadegg still has a comfortable lead with cash on hand, but is no doubt in the toughest race of his career since he was first elected. The DCCC is more likely now to target this race than they have been since Shadegg first got elected.
CD4 currently held by Democrat Ed Pastor
Ed Pastor $260,827 raised and $1,266,599 cash on hand
Ed Pastor has the safest seat in the state.
CD5 currently held by Democrat Harry Mitchell
Harry Mitchell $321,160 raised with $1,121,680 cash on hand
Republicans
David Schweikert $175,210.raised with $514,092 cash on hand
Jim Ogsbury $40,421 raised with $353,094 cash on hand
Mark Anderson $55,115 raised with $69,985 cash on hand
Laura Knaperek $49,618 raised with $44,471.84 cash on hand
In the Republican primary its looking like two candidates will have the financial resources at the end of the day to battle it out. Schweikert is raising the most from individuals and appears to be emerging as the frontrunner.
Mitchell has more cash on hand than all his Republican opponents combined.
CD6 currently held by Republican Jeff Flake
Jeff Flake $58,342 raised with $974,536.74 cash on hand
Flake can start planning his anti-earmark speeches and foreign junkets for 2009
CD7 currently held by Democrat Raul Grijalva
Raul Grijalva $91,312 raised with $139,670 cash on hand
Grijalva doesn’t have a large incumbent war chest, but he doesn’t need it
CD8 currently held by Democrat Gabby Giffords
Gabby Giffords $466,786 raised with $1,672,821 cash on hand
Republican
Tim Bee $466,092 raised with $525,439 cash on hand
Giffords has a good 3:1 lead with cash on hand, but Bee demonstrated he will be able to raise the money needed to make this race competitive.
