JD for Congress?

When JD Hayworth lost his CD5 seat to Harry Mitchell in 2006 most expected not to see him run for office again unless he was taking a shot at the Governor’s office or maybe US Senate.  If the latest rumor pans out, it may be sooner than that.  And it may be for a Congressional seat again.   read more »

“Signs” not good for a Higgins win in Mesa

I have a theory, the first campaign to complain about yard signs loses the election. It never fails. Towards the end of any election cycle things heat up, volunteers and supporters of each campaign tear down the yard signs of the competition. The way to tell who will win is which campaign stays focused and doesn’t complain. Am I saying stealing or destroying signs is ok? No not at all, but it’s going to happen.

Ogsbury announces Campaign Manager

Jim Ogsbury for Congress campaign announced to PolitickerAZ it has retained Matt Derr to managed Ogsbury’s congressional campaign in CD5. 

Derr, who currently serves as Chief of Staff to Corporations Commissioner Kris Mayes was also a former District representative for former Congressman JD Hayworth.   Kerr served on Hayworth’s campaign team during the 2002 election cycle and has an intimate knowledge of CD5.
