With Senator Barack Obama crossing the threshold of delegates he needed to claim the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday evening, party leaders began to move on Wednesday to bring their lengthy primary battle to a close and unite the party, even as questions swirled about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s next move.

Not Sure the Dems Get It...
There appears to be an extreme amount of dissent with Hillary supporters. There are a large percentage hoping she will run as an Independent--do a Joe Liberman.
As someone who has been involved with the party since 2004 I have noticed changes within the party with the "progressive" movement. Will we finally have an official split of moderates vs progressives or will this be just another bump in the road?
With people begging for "change" this may not be what they were expecting. Republicans lost a large amount of their base to the Independent party recently...perhaps now the Democrats will too. Who knows?
Hillary may pull out al stops and go for a full run and stay until November. Are the Dems prepared for that?
