Titla raises $50k for quarter
By Evan BrownMary Kim Titla raised over $53,000 in the second quarter of the year, according to her campaign manager Randy Camacho. The Globe Democrat is the first candidate in the 1st Congressional District field to release her fundraising totals for 2Q.
However, Camacho declined to answer how much the campaign currently has on hand. He also noted the total includes in-kind donations.
Titla is running against Democrats Jeffrey Brown, Ann Kirkpatrick and Howard Shanker to earn a spot on the ballot against the eventual Republican nominee. The seat is being vacated by U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Flagstaff), who is under indictment on federal charges of money laundering, fraud and extortion.

I'm watching the debate here and Mary Kim looks quite congressional.
Titla as viable candidate??
I haven't heard anything yet that would convince me that Mary Kim Titla is qualified to be a Congressperson. A lot of people know her because she was on the TV news for so long, but when I saw her in a candidate forum she didn't know what "eminent domain" was. And she's running for Congress? I do think it would be neat to elect the first Native American woman to Congress-- but ONLY if she's qualified to do the job. I would welcome coverage of this by PolitickerAZ.
