Phoenix changes immigration policy
By Evan BrownPHOENIX - Today Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris announced that Phoenix PD will inquire about the immigration status off all suspects apprehended for criminal offenses or who are targets of criminal inquiries.
The policy changes come at the recommendation of a blue-ribbon panel formed last year to look at how Phoenix police should handle immigration enforcement. The new policies include greater cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, city officials were quick to stress that police would not be involved in immigration "sweeps" such as have been conducted by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
"We won't be pulling people over for a broken tail light and ask about their status," said one aide to the mayor.
The new policy also stipulates that neither witnesses to nor victims of crimes would have their legal status scrutinized, nor would those accused of violations or other non-criminal offenses.
Chief Harris also emphasized that race would not be a factor in inquiries regarding legal status.
"We're going to ask everyone" about their legal status, said Harris. "This is one of the very important points in the policy. Anyone who has committed a criminal offense, we will ask if they are legal, so we avoid problems of civil rights violations or racial profiling."

Until I read your post, I hadn't known there was zero crime in our country until the "illegals" came! Thank you so much for enlightening me.
And just imagine! In my measureless ignorance, I also thought that highway accidents regularly occur among people who aren't here illegally. Even among us citizens! Silly me. But you've shown me the light.

To rain relentless justice on Anglo queer-bashers and woman-beaters and child molesters and white supremacist terrorists and coke sniffing white boys from high-rent suburbs.

There is a very long list of pro-illegal immigrant advocates in state legislators and in Washington. Arizona's Governor Neapolitano, Mayor Phil Gordon is just the proverbial tip of this flash-point iceberg. These people just don't get it! That there is a very wide chasm between somebody who enters America, by the permission of the 'PEOPLE', and others who just ignored our laws and jumped the border.
Along with just simple folk, came the criminal minds. They have brought terror and heinous crimes, into this nation. Even in small communities around the country have there doors are locked and barred of a night, when in the past even cars remained with the keys still in the ignition. The spread of violent crime has become an everyday occurrence in smaller towns and villages, brought to us with the number of an estimated 38 million illegal aliens. In small steps American cities have frowned upon the ugly distinction of a 'Sanctuary city' or sanctuary towns and hamlets. Los Angeles county 'Special order 40' is reflecting in the death of a black sports star, whose life was torn from him by an illegal immigrant gang member. Shielded by 'S.O.40' he stepped out prison, only to kill the next day without provercation.
Death is an everyday possibility that has become as common in every town, if not by the gun, but by daily highway carnage caused by foreign nationals. It resonates throughout America, but its consequences remain unrevealed in the national press. The Internet news from rural towns, publishes the evidence of hideous crimes. Our nation already has its legal population, that fills our prison system. We absolutely don't need the dregs of foreign governments coming to this land, to slaughter innocent victims.
Governor Neapolitano, the mayor are directly to blame as with California Governor or Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, along with his city managers and timid lieutenants who have allowed gangs such as MS 13, 18 street gangs to multiply and cause havoc in a once magnificent city. Police chief's and all their underlings should be held accountable for the mayhem,caused in Arizona or in every other town in these United states.
