In a survey of the U.S. Senate's membership not already running for president on whether they'd consider accept an offer to be vice president, The Hill newspaper found a variety of responses to the veepstakes question. Some were accompanied by laughs, others took the question seriously.

Additionally, electors are prohibited from voting for a presidential candidate and vp candidate who are both from their state. For example, if Kyl was the VP nominee, Arizona's electors could not vote for both Kyl and McCain. Other states, could, though....
