Phoenix Councilman endorses Bob Lord

PHOENIX — Bob Lord for Congress announced a new endorsement Tuesday.

Phoenix City Councilman Michael Nowakowski, a strong Phoenix advocate for public safety and law enforcement said he supports Bob Lord for Congress and his campaign for change in Washington.

"I endorse Bob Lord for Congress because he is an aggressive and effective leader who shares my goal of protecting families, supporting our peace officers and improving our public transportation,” Nowakowski said. “Bob Lord is committed to homeland security and keeping criminals off the streets in our city, state and nation.  We can't expect things to change in Washington until we change our leadership. Bob Lord is the type of change that Arizona needs in Washington."

Nowakowski represents District 7, the fastest growing and most diverse part of Phoenix.

Nowakowski’s backing adds to the strong and growing support Lord has already received from Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Phoenix Councilman Greg Stanton.

"I am truly honored to have the backing of Phoenix city leaders," Lord said. "I am running for Congress to fundamentally change Washington and to protect our national security. Arizona is the fastest-growing state in the nation. We need to keep our innovation economy growing by investing in law enforcement, public transportation, highways, and communication technology to power our nation’s future. I am very proud to have the backing of a leader like Councilman Nowakowski."
